Letters From Lark

Hey Reader!

I want to tell you a story today about one of my clients. I’m just so stinkin' proud of them!

One year ago, Jedi Charter hadn't opened for business yet.

But they had already invested quite a bit. Money. Time. Energy.

They had the dream. They had the spreadsheets.

They had a 33’ party bus parked in the driveway.

What they didn’t have yet was any certainty that things were going work out.

Beyond the glowing google reviews that poured in, here are the biggest things I saw change for them.

They stopped thinking of themselves as “a party bus” and realized what people actually need from them is something else entirely: a fun, inclusive, safe space.

And I don't just mean safe on treacherous Colorado mountain roads.

They had heard too many stories about riders feeling uncomfortable or facing discrimination because of other drivers’ personal prejudices. As veterans in the industry, they’d seen it firsthand, and they were creating a company to do way better.

They were building a values-driven business that wholeheartedly welcomes and creates safe spaces for everyone: LGBTQ+ affirming, a resource for accessible transportation, families, proms, quinces, sports teams, friend groups of all stripes, weddings of all kinds, etc.

They just weren’t sure how much they could (or should) talk about that in an industry dominated by stoic, old school gearheads who are largely focused on specs.

Luckily, they realized they didn’t need to appeal to everyone or mimic what they saw the bigger players doing. They just needed to be unmistakable to the people who needed them most.

They stopped hoping the numbers would work out and created systems to make sure they could.

Before opening, they had run the math. They knew their break even point. Annnnnd they knew sales, marketing, and design weren’t their strengths. So instead of struggling through those pieces alone, they asked for help early.

Once the right systems were in place, their leads went from 4 per month to 100 per month.

Yes, you read that right. We 25x’d their leads last summer. They were fully booked 6 months after opening.

Because when they flipped the open sign, they weren’t scrambling.

They already knew what the first few months of business would look like. They knew the next phases of how they’d show up, what they’d focus on, and the specific things they'd do to support the business.

When I asked my client what the feeling was once everything started clicking into place, the answer wasn’t excitement.

It was “absolute relief.”

Relief that they didn’t have to struggle through everything on their own. That the numbers made sense and the systems worked. That this "could not just break even, but actually be successful."

That’s the shift I want people to know is possible, and why I created the Open For Business Blueprint. It's the exact framework I use to help my clients launch, and I want people to have it - for free!

Because I don’t want anyone to feel like they have to market louder or hustle harder while terrified.

I want you to be able to launch without spiraling. I want you to be able to bring in clients from Day 1. I want you to have confidence. I want your dreams to come true!

If you’re standing on the edge of starting, restarting, or pivoting, I made this for you!
